Who is ready to Travel around the world?

EPCOT is one of the most unique theme parks that Disney has designed. It was Walt's vision of the future, and includes the World Showcase too! The World Showcase features 11 countries that you can visit to get a taste of traveling around the world without a passport. There are plenty of attractions around EPCOT, but is more about the food and experiences. Many of the countries have shows and cultural presentations as well.EPCOT is actually our least traveled park at Walt Disney World, but we still have some favorites that are must do's.Below you will find our favorite attractions at this park, and some tips on how to best enjoy this park.

Spaceship Earth

Placed inside the iconic centerpiece of EPCOT, Spaceship Earth is a wonderful attraction. It takes you through how man has evolved since the time of the caveman. This ride is one of the few classic EPCOT rides remaining, and we absolutely love it. Nothing extreme here and everyone can enjoy it.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind!

The newest ride at EPCOT is really out of this world!We loved how much fun this roller coaster was. While it is not the most extreme ride at Disney World, we do offer caution to those that have motion sickness as it does spin!

Remy's Ratatouille Adventure

Straight from Paris, get ready to shrink to the size of a rat and cook right in Gusteau's Kitchen!This new ride is cute and is Disney's newest version of a classic "Dark Ride". We love it because of the beautiful theming throughout the line as well as the really fun ride itself. Also let us know if the sweet smell of fresh baked cheese bread makes your mouth water too while you wait in line!

The Candlelight Processional

This unique show/presentation only happens at Christmas Time! Each day from Thanksgiving to Christmas a celebrity narrator is present to read the story of Christmas. But this is so much more than a simple reading, as there is an incredible choir, band, and others that help make this one of the most magical events to attend.Last year we were lucky enough to attend when Josh Gad (The voice of Olaf!) was reading. We had chills throughout the whole show and can't wait to go back. We do want to point out, that seating is limited and unless you arrive 2 hours prior to show time you are unlikely to get seats. However, fear not as there are 2 other options!The First is if you can stand for the entire show (about 45 minutes long), there is standing room at the back of the amphitheater where you can see and hear everything just fine.The second is to purchase a dining package. They range from $60-100 per person depending on the restaurant but you get a meal and a guaranteed seat at the show. Do note though, that these usually sell out within minutes on release day (Normally in September/December). Keep tuned to Walt Disney World Social media channels for details.

Tips to Enjoy this Park

With so many of the classic EPCOT attractions gone, we do not really recommend EPCOT for those with kids. There are attractions, but the majority have high height requirements. If you do bring the kids though, ask any cast member for a "KidCOT" card, and as you go through each country, there are special stations for kids to learn and get a stamp for visiting. We also recommend checking out this article from Undercover Tourist from some great tips in traveling EPCOT with your little ones: https://www.undercovertourist.com/blog/epcot-world-showcase-with-kids/For those without kids, you will find a unique theme park where you can eat, and of course Drink your way around the world!However, we do have 1 standout tip of what to AVOID at EPCOT:Mission: Space!This is a very THRILLING attraction, but even those who aren't prone to getting motion sick will find themselves getting motion sick. We have rode it one time, and that was enough for us. In short it is a ride that simulates launching off in a space shuttle. We can give you more details if you like, but we really strongly recommend looking a different way.Besides that, we love EPCOT and know that you will have a great time!
